Fullex Patio Sliding Door Lock Description:
The fullex patio sliding door lock is a multipoint door lock used on old aluminium sliding patio doors. This particular lock has two locking pins that lock in under a receiver keep on the patio door frame. This lock is used with the patio lever set.
There is a safety feature on this lock that prevents it from being operated incorrectly. When the patio door is slid closed, the white plastic bar strikes the door frame, allowing the lock levers to move and engage the lock. This is to prevent the lock from being put into the closed position while the door is opened. This is to protect the lock from unnecessary damage. The white plastic bar can be cut to a shorter length with a hacksaw if required.
The centers on this lock is 203mm (distance from the centre of lever to the centre of the cylinder)
Fullex Patio Sliding Door Lock Operation
The sliding section of the door is slid closed. The the white plastic bar strikes the door frame and the two locking pins move into the lock receiver keep. The small lever in the handle is pushed down, which engages the lock into the receiver keep. The key in the cylinder is then turned to complete the locking process.
